Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist supports donor acquisition and retail foot traffic across three brands by executing day-to-day marketing initiatives across digital channels, customer engagement platforms, and content creation. This role requires the ability to switch between distinct brand voices while maintaining consistency, clarity, and audience relevance across each brand.

This role focuses on hands-on development and execution of email and SMS campaigns, social media management, content development, ad campaign support, and customer service support while contributing creative ideas that align with brand standards. Content is planned approximately one month in advance to allow for internal review and approvals, with an expected cadence of roughly 7 social posts per week, 4 emails per month, and 4 SMS campaigns per month. The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in maintaining organized workflows, meeting timelines, and ensuring high-quality creative execution across all marketing efforts.

Primarily execution-focused with strategic ownership of social media, this position supports market launches, assists with vendor coordination, and contributes to a positive donor and retail customer experience through thoughtful content, timely communication, and attention to detail. This role also offers growth opportunities in campaign planning, cross-brand marketing strategy, analytics, and vendor/project coordination.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own social media strategy, content development, and execution under the direction of the Director of Marketing, including designing, publishing, analyzing and managing content across platforms while serving as a frontline brand voice for engagement.
  • Manage and own relationships with content creators and influencers as needed to expand reach and engagement.
  • Execute email and SMS campaigns to support donor acquisition and retail traffic.
  • Create content including copywriting, print, and digital assets across all three brands, adapting tone, messaging, and creative approach to each brand voice and audience.
  • Ensure creative assets and messaging align with brand guidelines while introducing fresh, on-brand ideas.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform features, and best practices, contributing ideas to improve engagement and content performance.
  • Support website content updates and digital ad campaign deployment as needed, including basic SEO knowledge to incorporate updates such as page copy, keywords, internal links, and blog content.
  • Monitor performance using analytics and platform tools such as Meta Insights, email/SMS reporting, and social media analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation, with clear ownership of social strategy, content planning, and execution.
  • Working knowledge of standard business tools and digital marketing platforms, including email, SMS, Meta ads, basic SEO tools/ practices, and social media.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, maintain a proactive content calendar, and prepare content in advance for internal approvals.
  • Creative design and copywriting skills, with the ability to follow brand guidelines while contributing fresh ideas.
  • Ability to write and create content for multiple brands, switching between brand voices while preserving accuracy, consistency, and audience fit.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to proofreading, accuracy, and quality.
  • Comfort using design and scheduling tools such as Canva, Adobe, and Sprout.
  • Strong project coordination skills and willingness to assist with vendor communication.
  • Ability to learn and apply compliance regulations to ensure marketing execution aligns with regulatory requirements.
  • Positive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.
  • 1–2 years of marketing experience required.
  • Experience supporting multi-brand organizations and driving growth across both digital and print channels strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing recurring content cadence across social, email, and SMS channels preferred.
  • Background in operational, retail, or field-based marketing environments preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-sensitive industries a plus.
  • Portfolio or examples of creative work preferred.

Compensation range is based on experience.
